More
Lemmas 7-12 mm. long, 7-nerved, herbaceous, linear-lanceolate in profile, with the margins hyaline; apex 2-lobed, with the lobes drawn out into slender bristles; awn inserted beneath the apex, up to 22 mm. long, somewhat geniculate, not much twisted.
Glumes not exceeding the following lemma, herbaceous with the margins thinner in texture; the inferior 3-6 mm. long, 1-nerved, narrowly lanceolate; the superior 3.75-8.25 mm. long, 3-nerved, oblong-lanceolate.
