Plants to 1 m tall. Root cylindrical. Stem sparsely hispid or glabrous. Petioles of lower leaves 15–17 cm, hispid; blade ovate-oblong, 15–20 × 6–8 cm, 2–3-pinnate, primary pinnae 3 pairs; ultimate segments ovate-lanceolate, 5–8 × 3–4 cm, both surfaces hispidulous, margins irregularly serrate. Upper leaves gradually reduced, sessile, pinnate to 3-lobed on expanded sheaths. Peduncles 16–30(–40), hispid; bracts few, linear, or absent; rays (13–)20–30, unequal, 3–8 cm; bracteoles few, linear; umbellules 20–30(–40)-flowered. Calyx teeth triangular. Petals white, outer flowers in umbel radiant. Fruit ovoid, 5–6 × ca. 5 mm, subglabrous; vittae solitary in each furrow, 2 on commissure, clavate, slightly exceeding 1/2 length of mericarp. Fl.
