Primary stem leaves appressed, oblong-ovate, 0.5-1 mm; margins entire; apex acute; costa double or single, short, occasionally ecostate; basal laminal cells rectangular; distal medial cells linear; apical cells linear. Secondary stem and branch leaves 1-2(-3) mm; base slightly decurrent; costa 1/2-3/4 leaf length; alar cells slightly differentiated, rectangular to quadrate, 10-30 µm; basal juxtacostal laminal cells oblong-linear, (22-)40-60(-80) µm, walls slightly porose; distal medial cells long-hexagonal to linear, (13-)20-30(-50) µm, walls sometimes porose; apical cells rounded-hexagonal to rhombic, (5-)6-8(-17) µm, walls sometimes weakly porose. Seta yellow to yellowish brown. Capsule erect to suberect, neck narrow; exostome teeth with internal surface smooth, trabeculate; endostome cilia present, nodulose.
