Shrub, 1–2 m. high; branchlets slender, tips puberulous.. Leaf-blade oblong to obovate-oblong, obtusely attenuate, base broadly cuneate, membranous, glabrous except midrib, obtusely subserrate-crenate, 5–8(–9) cm. long, (2–)2.5–3.5 cm. wide, with 4–6 curved pairs of lateral veins, a little prominent on both faces as is the reticulation; petiole very slender, 4–5 mm. long.. Racemes spike-like, greyish puberulous all over; rhachis very slender, (5–)7–11 cm. long, bearing distant solitary flowers or fascicles of 2–3 flowers in the upper part only; pedicels slender, 1–2 mm. long.. Calyx-tube turbinate, ± 2.5 mm. long, attenuate at base to a short slender stipe.. Sepals 6–7, linear-oblong, ± 2 mm. long.. Petals 6–7, broadly oblong, pale yellow, sericeous on both sides, ± 3 mm. long.. Stamens single before each petal; filaments glabrous or nearly so.. Disk-glands roundish and flattish, glabrous or nearly so.. Ovary shortly conical, sericeous below, glabrous above and on the columnar style (2 mm.).. Fruit not known.
