Characteristics

Vine. Leaves fleshy to coriaceous; petioles 2–3 cm long; lamina broadly ovate to ovate, to 21 cm long, 10 cm wide, cordate at base, acute, glabrous, 3-veined from base; colleters 4 or 5 or coalesced into a ridge. Inflorescence racemiform. Flowers 10–18 mm diam.; pedicels 18–30 mm long. Corolla rotate, fleshy, minutely puberulous, pale yellow, cream, green or flesh-pink; lobes ovate to lanceolate-ovate, 6–7 mm long, 4.5–6 mm wide. Staminal corona lobes 3–4 mm long, 2–2.5 mm wide, rhomboidal, with outer edge pointed or occasionally rounded, pale yellow, cream, green or flesh pink. Pollinia with pellucid margins. Follicles fusiform, 8–15 cm long.
