Characteristics

Perennial, dwarf succulent. Stems decumbent to erect, up to 50-76 x 13-19 mm, 4-or 5-angled, tuberculate, glabrous, grey-green. Flowers 1-5; pedicels 10-30 mm long. Sepals 5-7 mm long. Corolla (20-25-70 mm in diam., saucer-shaped with prominently raised annulus containing stiff inwardly pointing hairs at mouth; lobes erect to spreading, variably papillate, whitish yellow with maroon spots, 9-11 x 9-11 mm. Corona 6-8 mm in diam., cream-coloured to maroon; outer lobes spreading, variably emarginate to bifid; inner lobes 4.5-5.5 mm long, awl-shaped, appressed to anthers basally and connivent above column, apex diverging-ascending.
