Characteristics

Tree to 25 m high. Stipules linear-lanceolate, 2–3.5 mm long. Leaves: petiole 25–110 mm long; lamina elliptic, oblong or obovate, 10–30 cm long, 4–12 cm wide, cuneate to rounded at base, acute or acuminate at tip, 14–21 lateral veins, coriaceous. Inflorescences to 22 cm long, much-branched. Male flowers: c. 5 mm long and 7 mm diam.; pedicels 2–3.5 mm long; sepals oblong-spathulate, 3–6 mm long; petals spathulate, 6–9 mm long. Female flowers: 8–10 mm long, 11–15 mm diam.; pedicels 6–15 mm long; sepals oblong, 7–9 mm long; petals spathulate, 6–10 mm long. Fruit 20–30 mm long, 30–35 mm wide. Seeds 13–14 mm long, 10–12 mm wide.
