Characteristics

Rhizome creeping. Fronds borne 5-70 mm apart; stipe filiform, narrowly winged for part of its length, up to 50 mm long; lamina usually 2-pinnatifid, lanceolate to narrowly oblong, lowest pinnae often reduced, up to 100 x 16 mm; pinnae entire, up to 10 mm long, bifurcate to pinnatifid into 3-7 entire closely spaced lobes up to 1.5 mm broad with rounded apices. Sori borne on acroscopic segments anywhere in upper half of frond, broadly obconic with rounded entire indusial valves 2 mm broad and with lamina segments usually dilated around sorus.
More
