Characteristics

Rhizome slender, glabrous. Fronds 4.2–8.5 cm long, 2.1–3.4 cm wide. Stipe 1.2–2.6 cm long, well-spaced on the rhizome; wing tapering to the base, crisped; margins reflexed and toothed. Lamina triangular, deeply 3-pinnatifid, bright mid-green, glabrous. Ultimate segments 2–5 mm long, 0.8–1.4 mm wide; margins crisped, serrate; teeth broadly-triangular. Sori in upper half of frond, singly or in adjacent pairs, borne at the apices of lateral ultimate segments; involucre round, bilabiate, divided almost to the base, not immersed, 1.2–1.5 mm long, 1.5–1.7 mm diam., wider than segments, middle of lip heavily inflated, bearing scattered papillae at base; margins sparsely and shallowly toothed; receptacle included.
