Stamens 3–15, alternate with sepals, singly or (when more than 5) in pairs or fascicles, hypogynous. Disc absent. Ovary superior, syncarpous, of 3–5 carpels, 3–5-locular; ovules numerous, axile; stigmas 3–5, short.
