Characteristics

Annual or bushy perennial herbs, 0.1-1.0 m high; covered with silvery biramous hairs. Leaves pinnately 5-11-foliolate; petioles 2-10 mm long. Terminal leaflet 6-25(35) x 1.5-8.0(12.0) mm, elliptic-oblong, lanceolate or linear; glabrous above, ± densely strigose beneath. Inflorescences of 40-220 mm long racemes, including peduncle of (10)25-85 mm long, ± densely many-flowered. Flowers salmon-pink; pedicels ± 1 mm long. Calyx 2-4 mm long, lobes narrowly triangular, ± equal in length to the tube. Stamens 3.5-5.0 mm long. Flowering time Nov.-Mar. Pod 18-40 x 1.5-2.5 mm, densely appressed strigose, ± canescent, laterally compressed, straight.
