Inflorescences dense cymes, few-flowered; peduncles slender, glabrous; bracts lanceolate, entire, glabrous. Male flowers sepals ovate-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, entire; petals spathulate-lanceolate, obtuse, free, glabrous; disc glands free; stamens 8. Female flowers sepals 38 mm long; petals as in male; disc glands free; ovary glabrous; styles 3. Flowering time Aug.-May. Fruit an ellipsoid capsule, faintly lobed. Seeds oblong.
