Female flowers: pedicels 2 mm long, stouter than in the male flowers; calyx 3.5–4 mm long, calyx lobes 3 × 1.25 mm, lanceolate, acute, subentire to irregularly denticulate or fimbriate, subeglandular; petals 7 × 1.5 mm, narrowly oblanceolate-spathulate, obtuse or rounded, completely glabrous; disk c. 2 mm in diameter, composed of 7 separate squarish flattened rounded or truncate glands; ovary c. 2.5 × 2.5 mm, subglobose, styles 2.5 mm long, united at the base, erect, stigmas bifid, rugulose.

Leaf blades up to 4 × 3 cm, 3–5-palmatipartite to subpinnatipartite, cuneate or attenuate at the base, chartaceous; the lobes up to 2.5 × 1 cm, narrowly oblanceolate-oblong, subacute and mucronulate at the apex, closely and sharply denticulate on the margins, sometimes also irregularly lobulate and hyaline on the margins; lateral nerves of the median lobe in 10–12 pairs.
Inflorescences 2–3 cm long, terminal, with a peduncle up to 1 cm long; bracts 2–4 mm long, narrowly lanceolate, laterally lobulate at the base or subentire.
A glabrous, somewhat glaucous, sparingly branched erect perennial herb up to 10 cm tall, probably arising from a tuberous rootstock.
Stipules 1–2 mm long, simple, subulate-setaceous, eglandular, purplish, subpersistent.
Fruit (immature) 10 × 8 mm, ellipsoid, minutely tuberculate-rugulose.
