Characteristics

An erect epiphytic herb.. Stems clustered, simple, covered in persistent scarious leaf-sheaths below, leafy distally, rooting at nodes, 30–80 cm. long.. Leaves oblong-ligulate, equally or slightly unequally bilobed at apex, coriaceous, mid-nerve prominent below, (7–)10–13 cm. long, 1.5–2 cm. wide, sheaths 1.5–2 cm. long.. Inflorescence 1-flowered, porrect; pedicel abbreviated, concealed by bracts; bracts 3–5, ovate, obtuse, scarious, imbricate, 3–7(–10) mm. long.. Flowers white with a green spur and brown anther, scented at night; pedicel with ovary slender, curved or gently sigmoid, 2.5–3 cm. long.. Tepals spreading, slightly undulate at base.. Dorsal sepal ovate-elliptic, obtuse, 15–16 mm. long, 6 mm. broad; lateral sepals oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 17 mm. long, 4 mm. broad..
