Characteristics

Succulent erect shrub; stems succulent, striate, glabrous.. Leaves succulent, obovate-spatulate, 1.5–2.7 cm long, 0.8–1.4 cm wide, attenuate into petioloid base, margins entire, apex rounded, glabrous.. Capitula discoid, terminal in small 2–3-headed cymes; stalks of individual capitula stout; involucre cylindrical, 19–24 mm long, 5–9 mm in diameter; bracts of calyculus 2–3, oblanceolate, lax, 6–9 mm long; phyllaries 6, glaucous, 19–24 mm long.. Ray florets absent; disc florets colour not indicated, probably white or yellow, corolla 20–21 mm long, tube glabrous, slightly expanded in upper part, lobes 1 mm long.. Achenes 4 mm long, hairy; pappus in flower 19–20 mm long, in fruit 36–50 mm long.
