Characteristics

Perennial herbs, perennating from a woody rootstock, prostrate, spreading; stems glabrous to 1 m long. Leaves obovate to lanceolate or linear, up to 6 cm long and 3 mm wide, obtuse to acute, the base attenuate, papillose, succulent. lnflorescence an elongated raceme. Sepals 4–5 mm long, papillose, often pink to purple. Petals 5–7 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, somewhat lanceolate, tending to pseudo-tubular, cucullate at base, white. Stamens 6. Style 3–6 mm long, exserted. Silicula dehiscent, rotund, 5–6 mm long, 6–7 mm wide, inflated, not winged, not notched; valves pubescent with acicular hairs; pedicels to 8 mm long, twisting to orientate flowers and fruits vertically, papillose. Seeds 3–4 mm long, 2.5–3 mm wide; radicle incumbent.
