Characteristics

Perennial shrub to 100 cm high, glabrous or hairy, the hairs short, acicular; branches tending to zigzag. Leaves obovate, obtuse to acuminate, 20–45 mm long, 10–20 mm wide, entire, leathery, the base attenuate to petiolate. Inflorescence a dense terminal raceme. Sepals 4–6 mm long. Petals 5–7 mm long, c. 3 mm wide, pseudo-tubular with cucullate base and attenuate apex, white. Stamens 6. Style 3–4 mm long, exserted. Silicula dehiscent, elliptic, 6–9 mm long, 4–6 mm wide; wings one-eighth length of fruit forming open notch; pedicels spreading, 5–8 mm long. Seeds c. 2.7 mm long, c. 1.5 mm wide; radicle incumbent.
