Characteristics

Perennial shrub to 60 cm high, intricately branched; stems glabrous and glaucous, often somewhat flexuose. Leaves narrowly linear to subterete, up to 55 mm long, succulent. Inflorescence a raceme, short or elongated. Sepals 3.5–6 mm long. Petals 6–8 mm long, rhomboid when flattened, alternate, obtuse; claw pseudo-tubular; base cucullate; white to cream. Stamens 6. Style 3–4 mm long, exserted. Silicula elliptic to ovate, 9–11 mm long, 4–7 mm wide; wing approximately one-fifth length of fruit, somewhat acute, forming broad apical notch; gynophore hardly developed; pedicels 4–8 mm long, spreading to horizontal. Seeds 2.7–3.3 mm long, 1.75–2.5 mm wide; radicle incumbent.
