Characteristics

Annual herb 15–20 cm high, with weak acicular hairs. Leaves petiolate, reducing from pinnatifid (in some plants) to obovate and serrate or linear and entire, hairy, the marginal hairs of shark’s tooth appearance. lnflorescence a raceme. Sepals 0.5–0.6 mm long. Petals reduced, linear. Stamens 2, median. Stigma capitate and exserted from notch, but style short. Silicula obovate to circular, 2–2.5 mm long, 1.5–2.0 mm wide; wing slight in upper half forming slight apical notch; pedicels c. 2.5 mm long, hairy on adaxial surface, erect to spreading. Seeds 1–1.25 mm long; radicle incumbent.
