Characteristics

Leaf narrowly lanceolate, 150–400 × 10–15 mm, dark green above with longitudinal veins, paler beneath. Flower stem 250–500 mm tall, 3–10-flowered. Flowers 20–25 × 35–50 mm, pale green, greyish brown, reddish or brownish, covered with a grey powdery bloom. Dorsal sepal broadly oblong, 19–22 × 6–9 mm, concave, completely hooding column. Lateral sepals linear, margins incurved, 19–22 × 3–4 mm, decurved, divergent or parallel. Petals linear, margins incurved, 20–23 × 3 mm, spreading widely or recurved. Labellum 12–14 × 7–9 mm, reddish, curved, apex recurved, creamy yellow; lateral lobes erect, entire, partly covered by labellum; calli cylindrical, in 4 rows to base of midlobe; apex of midlobe with dense brush-like cluster of creamy yellow calli. Column incurved, 7–8.5 × 2.5–3 mm, spotted and blotched.
