Origin: in Gilston, Queensland, Australia, in the orchard of W. Hill, by A.A. Ross and J. McG. Wills, Dept. of Agriculture and Stock, Brisbane, Queensland. Introd. in 1961 in Australia. Seedling of Macadamia tetraphylla; selected in 1948; tested in Australia as H3; tested in Hawaii as HAES 732. Nut: high quality.
