Leaflets 3, paler beneath, oblong-elliptic, 2·5–7·8 cm. long, 1–2·7 cm. wide, rounded or subacute and mucronulate at the apex, cuneate to rounded at the base, with adpressed hairs on the margins and midrib but otherwise practically glabrous above, densely covered with adpressed silvery hairs beneath at first, but later glabrescent; petiole 6–8 mm. long; rhachis 3–4 mm. long; petiolules 2–3 mm. long; stipules oblong-lanceolate, 8–12 mm. long, 4–5 mm. wide, adpressed silvery pubescent, ribbed.. Flowers 5–7 in dense axillary fascicles; peduncle very short or obsolete; pedicels 2–4 mm. long; bracts and bracteoles lanceolate, 3–6·5 mm. long.. Calyx adpressed or spreading silvery silky pubescent; tube 3–4 mm. long; lobes triangular, 3–5(–7) mm. long, the upper pair joined to form a triangular lobe bifid at the extreme apex..
