Leaves petiolate, simple or sometimes 3-foliolate; blade elliptic, ovate-elliptic or lanceolate-elliptic, 3–7 cm. long, 1.6–2.5 cm. wide, apically obtuse to acute, evenly attenuate or acuminate, leathery, rather shiny on the upper surface, glabrous or sometimes sparsely pilose with prominent nerves beneath; petiole up to 1 .5 cm. long.. Inflorescence a rather few-flowered short axillary or terminal corymbose raceme or the flowers solitary in the upper leaf-axils; pedicels 6–15 mm. long.. Sepals 8–10 mm. long, margins puberulent, otherwise glabrous outside, sometimes puberulent inside; receptacle 4–6 mm. long, 2.5–2.75 mm. broad.. Petals 5–6 mm. long, cream, margins puberulent, especially at the base.. Stamens 52–67; filaments about 18 mm. long.. Ovary ellipsoid-cylindrical or ovoid-ellipsoid, glabrous.. Fruit 1.5–3 x 0.6–1.1 cm., oblong-cylindric or ovoid, narrowed to a blunt apex, with 4 shallow, longitudinal ridges, finely verrucose.
Petals whitish, 3–5 x 2 mm., elliptic, acute at the apex, clawed at the base, margin slightly undulate and puberulous.
Ovary on a gynophore c. 1.6 cm. long, oblong-ellipsoid; ovules c. 16 on 2 placentas; stigma sessile, capitate.
Sepals 7 x 3–4 mm., broadly oblong-elliptic, acute at the apex, puberulous at the margins and within.
