Cultivation

Origin: in Honolulu, Hawaii, by Henry Y. Nakasone, Univ. of Hawaii. Introd. in 1963. Seedling of B-17 (Puerto Rico); discovered in 1958. Tree: Fruit: large; resembles Manoa Sweet; good yield; sweet variety; average weight 7.2 g, 9.0 soluble solids, pH 3.5, and vitamin C 1437 mg/ 100 g juice. Plant: suitable for home gardens.
