Characteristics

Subshrub to 1.5 m high; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 1–4 mm long; lamina linear, to 14 cm long, to 2 cm wide, cuneate at base, acute, with scattered to sparse trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation obscure below; colleters absent. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 3–4 mm long, 3–5 mm diam.; pedicels 2–5 mm long. Corolla campanulate to subrotate, cream to greenish; tube 1–2 mm long, 1.5–2.5 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, 1.5–2 mm long, 0.75–1 mm wide, internally glabrous or with dense basal trichomes. Corolline corona comprising 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona comprising 5 ovate lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes 0.2–0.5 mm long, 0.1–0.4 mm wide. Anther appendages lanceolate to ovate-truncate. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia obloid-ovoid, 0.16–0.2 mm long. Follicles ovoid, 4–7 cm long.
