Characteristics

Herbaceous vine; latex white. Roots tuberous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 4–9 mm long; lamina lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate, to 13 cm long, to 2 cm wide, cordate, rounded or truncate at base, acute to acuminate, glabrous or with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 4. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 4–5 mm long, 3–4 mm diam.; pedicels 3–5 mm long. Corolla urceolate, green; tube 3–4.5 mm long, c. 4 mm diam.; lobes ovate to triangular, 1–1.3 mm long, 1–1.4 mm wide, internally glabrous. Corolline corona absent. Staminal corona of 5 ovate-oblong lobes shorter than staminal column, bilobed, adnate for most of length; lobes 0.4–0.7 mm long, 0.4–0.5 mm wide. Anther appendages lanceolate to triangular. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, c. 0.3 mm long. Follicles fusiform-ovoid, 6–6.5 cm long.
