Characteristics

Herbaceous vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 1–4 mm long; lamina elliptic-ovate, to 3.1 cm long, to 1.2 cm wide, cuneate at base, shortly acuminate, glabrous or with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation obscure below; colleters absent or 1. Inflorescences umbelliform to racemiform. Flowers 3–4 mm long, 3–3.5 mm diam.; pedicels 1.5–3 mm long. Corolla urceolate, yellow; tube c. 1.5 mm long, 2.4–2.5 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, 1.5–1.8 mm long, 0.9–1 mm wide, internally glabrous. Corolline corona absent. Staminal corona comprising 5 subulate lobes longer than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes 1.5–2.5 mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide. Anther appendages truncate-ovate. Style-head depressed-globose. Pollinia oblong, 0.22–0.3 mm long. Follicles fusiform, 4–6 cm long.
