Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 20–30 mm long; lamina lanceolate, lanceolate-ovate or elliptic-ovate, to 11.5 cm long, to 4 cm wide, cordate, cuneate or truncate at base, acute, with sparse to dense trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 2–6. Inflorescences of 1–many umbelliform fascicles. Flowers 2.4–3 mm long, c. 3 mm diam.; pedicels 4–5 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream; tube c. 1 mm long, c. 1–1.5 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, c. 2 mm long, 1.2–1.3 mm wide, internally glabrous or with scattered basal trichomes. Corolline corona of 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona of 5 subulate lobes longer than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes c. 1 mm long, 1.2–1.3 mm wide. Anther appendages triangular. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, c. 0.2 mm long. Follicles fusiform, 7–8 cm long.
