Characteristics

Herbaceous vine; latex white. Roots fleshy, fusiform. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 10–17 mm long; lamina lanceolate, to 8 cm long, to 2 cm wide, cuneate to rounded at base, acute, glabrous below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 2. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers c. 5 mm long, c. 7 mm diam.; pedicels 4–5 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream and yellow; tube c. 3 mm long, c. 3.5 mm diam.; lobes ovate, c. 2.5 mm long, c. 2 mm wide, with sparse basal trichomes internally. Corolline corona of 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona of 5 narrowly oblong lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes 1.5–2 mm long, c. 1 mm wide. Anther appendages truncate-ovate. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, to 0.4 mm long. Follicles compressed, orbicular, c. 3 cm long.
