Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 20–35 mm long; lamina elliptic-obovate, to 11 cm long, to 9 cm wide, cordate at base, acute, mucronate, glabrous or with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 8–12. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 6–7 mm long, 7–13 mm diam.; pedicels 4–18 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream; tube 2.5–4 mm long, 4.5–6 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate-ovate to elliptic-ovate, 3.5–5.5 mm long, 2.5–4 mm wide, glabrous internally or with sparse trichomes in a longitudinal central band. Corolline corona of 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona of 5 oblong-rectangular lobes longer than staminal column, entire, adnate for most of length; lobes 2–2.5 mm long, 1.6–2 mm wide. Anther appendages ovate. Style-head depressed-globose to conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, 0.3–0.34 mm long. Follicles ovoid, c. 7 cm long.
