Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 13–55 mm long; lamina oblong-ovate, oblong, ovate or ovate-deltoid, to 18 cm long, to 8 cm wide, cordate, cuneate or truncate at base, acute to shortly acuminate, glabrous or with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 2–16. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 8–10 mm long, 20–43 mm diam.; pedicels 9–25 mm long. Corolla rotate, cream-yellow; tube 5.5–8 mm long, 5–7 mm diam.; lobes linear-lanceolate, 9–20 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, with sparse basal trichomes internally. Corolline corona absent. Staminal corona of 5 subterete lobes shorter than staminal column, with basal fleshy wing, adnate for most of length; lobes 4–6 mm long, 2–2.2 mm wide. Anther appendages obtuse. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, c. 0.7 mm long. Follicles fusiform, 10–13.5 cm long.
