Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 10–25 mm long; lamina elliptic to elliptic-oblong, to 11 cm long, to 6 cm wide, cordate to truncate at base, acuminate, glabrous or with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 4–12. Inflorescences of 1–4 umbelliform fascicles. Flowers 4–5 mm long, 6–6.5 mm diam.; pedicels 2–9 mm long. Corolla campanulate, white; tube 2–2.5 mm long, 2–2.5 mm diam.; lobes ovate, 2–2.5 mm long, 1.9–2.2 mm wide, with dense trichomes internally. Corolline corona absent. Staminal corona of 5 acute-oblong lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes c. 1 mm long, c. 1 mm wide. Anther appendages ovate. Style-head conical-globose. Pollinia oblong, 0.3–0.4 mm long. Follicles fusiform-ovoid, c. 5.5 cm long.
