Characteristics

Herbaceous vine; latex clear. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 5–25 mm long; lamina lanceolate, to 12 cm long, to 5.5 cm wide, cordate to truncate at base, caudate to cuspidate, glabrous below, not triveined at base; venation obscure below; colleters 5 or 6. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 2–4.5 mm long, 8–12 mm diam.; pedicels 7–8 mm long. Corolla rotate, cream-green; tube 2–2.3 mm long, 3–4 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, 4–6 mm long, 2–2.3 mm wide, internally glabrous. Corolline corona of 5 rounded lobes at top of corolla tube. Staminal corona of 5 subulate lobes shorter than staminal column, with 2 rounded flanges at base, adnate for most of length; lobes 1.2–1.5 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide. Anther appendages lanceolate-ovate. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia narrowly oblong, c. 0.5 mm long. Follicles not seen.
