Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum ginger-yellow. Leaves with petiole 15–30 mm long; lamina oblong-ovate to oblong-elliptic, to 11.5 cm long, to 6.5 cm wide, rounded to truncate at base, acute to shortly acuminate, with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 4–6. Inflorescences racemiform. Flowers 3–3.5 mm long, 2.5–4 mm diam.; pedicels 4–6.5 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream; tube 2.3–3 mm long, 1.8–2 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, 0.8–1 mm long, 0.7–0.8 mm wide, with dense, papillose trichomes internally. Corolline corona comprising 5 ridges, each terminating in an apical lobe not arching over staminal column. Staminal corona absent. Anther appendages truncate. Style-head conical-globose. Pollinia oblong, 0.18–0.21 mm long. Follicles not seen.
