Characteristics

Herbaceous vine; latex white. Roots tuberous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 10–20 mm long; lamina lanceolate-ovate, to 5 cm long, to 1.8 cm wide, rounded to weakly cordate at base, acute, glabrous below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 2–4. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 5–5.5 mm long, 3–3.5 mm diam.; pedicels 8–11 mm long. Corolla urceolate, green; tube 2.8–3.2 mm long, 2.5–2.8 mm diam.; lobes ovate, 1.8–2 mm long, 1.6–1.8 mm wide, glabrous. Corolline corona absent. Staminal corona of 5 ovate lobes shorter than staminal column, bilobed, peltate; lobes 0.7–0.8 mm long, c. 0.8 mm wide. Anther appendages lanceolate-ovate. Style-head depressed-globose. Pollinia ellipsoidal, c. 0.25 mm long. Follicles not seen.
