Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 10–20 mm long; lamina ovate, elliptic-oblong or ± orbicular, to 13 cm long, to 7 cm wide, cordate, cuneate or rounded at base, acute to acuminate, glabrous or with scattered to dense trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 5–20. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers c. 4 mm long, 8–9 mm diam.; pedicels 7–15 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream to yellow; tube 2–2.5 mm long, 2.5–3 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate-ovate, c. 4 mm long, 2–2.5 mm wide, internally with dense trichomes in central band in lower two thirds. Corolline corona of 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona of 5 subulate lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes c. 1.5 mm long, 0.5–0.75 mm wide. Anther appendages lanceolate-ovate. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, 0.27–0.3 mm long. Follicles ovoid to obtuse, 5.5–7.5 cm long.
