Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum ginger to dull yellow. Leaves with petiole 15–36 mm long; lamina elliptic to ovate, to 14 cm long, to 7 cm wide, weakly cordate to truncate at base, acute to shortly acuminate, with sparse to dense trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 6–10. Inflorescences umbelliform to racemiform. Flowers 2–2.2 mm long, 3.8–4 mm diam.; pedicels 2–2.2 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream; tube c. 2.2 mm long, 2.2–2.5 mm diam.; lobes ovate, c. 1.2 mm long, c. 1.2 mm wide, with sparse trichomes internally in central band. Corolline corona comprising 5 ridges, each terminating in an apical lobe arching over staminal column. Staminal corona absent. Anther appendages truncate. Style-head conical-globose. Pollinia oblong, 0.14–0.15 mm long. Follicles not seen.
