Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum yellow. Leaves with petiole 12–33 mm long; lamina elliptic-ovate to ovate, to 14 cm long, to 9 cm wide, cordate, cuneate, lobate or rounded at base, acute to acuminate, with scattered to dense trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 5–16. Inflorescences racemiform. Flowers 2–4 mm long, 2.5–5 mm diam.; pedicels 2–7 mm long. Corolla campanulate, pale yellow to white; tube 1.2–3 mm long, 1.5–3 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate, 1.4–1.8 mm long, 0.8–1.2 mm wide, with sparse trichomes internally in a longitudinal central band. Corolline corona comprising 5 ridges, each terminating in an apical lobe not arching over staminal column. Staminal corona comprising 5 rounded lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes 0.3–0.5 mm long, 0.2–0.4 mm wide. Anther appendages obtuse to triangular. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, 0.13–0.18 mm long. Follicles not seen.
