Characteristics

Subshrub to 50 cm high; latex white. Roots fibrous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 1.5–2 mm long; lamina lanceolate to elliptic, to 9 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide, cuneate and triveined at base, acuminate, with scattered to dense trichomes below; venation prominent below; colleters 7 or 8. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 3–5 mm long, 3–4 mm diam.; pedicels 1.9–5 mm long. Corolla campanulate to subrotate, cream to yellow; tube 1.5–3 mm long, 2–3 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate, 1.5–2.5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, internally glabrous. Corolline corona comprising 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona comprising 5 oblong-truncate lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, adnate at base; lobes c. 0.5 mm long, 0.1–0.5 mm wide. Anther appendages truncate to ovate. Style-head conical-elongate. Pollinia oblong, 0.16–0.22 mm long. Follicles fusiform-ovoid, 4–7 cm long.
