Characteristics

Herbaceous vine; latex white. Roots tuberous. Indumentum colourless. Leaves with petiole 10–15 mm long; lamina linear, lanceolate or ovate, to 7 cm long, to 2 cm wide, cordate, cuneate or rounded at base, acute, glabrous or with scattered trichomes below, not triveined at base; venation prominent below; colleters 2–4. Inflorescences umbelliform. Flowers 3–5 mm long, 5–8 mm diam.; pedicels 5.5–10 mm long. Corolla campanulate, yellow, green or cream; tube 2–4.2 mm long, 2.5–5 mm diam.; lobes ovate to triangular, 1.8–3 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, internally glabrous or with sparse basal trichomes. Corolline corona of 5 ridges, not terminating in apical lobes. Staminal corona of 5 broadly auriculate lobes shorter than staminal column, entire, peltate; lobes 0.7–1.5 mm long, 1–1.3 mm wide. Anther appendages ovate. Style-head depressed-globose to conical-globose. Pollinia oblong, 0.3–0.4 mm long. Follicles oblong-ovoid, 8–9.5 cm long.
