Characteristics

Branchlets rather slender, yellowish, subglab-rous to velutinous. Leaves subovate-elliptic, 10-12 by 3-5 cm, subcoriaceous; base long attenuate; apex acuminate; nerves 5-6 pairs, seldom arcuate; petiole l¼-l¼ cm, rather slender. Inflorescence up to 10 cm, very lax, branched 3(-4) times, few-flowered, velutinous to woolly; bracts under 3 mm. Sepals 5. Petals 5. Stamens 5. Fruit elongate-ovoid, 2½-3 by 1-1½ cm, persistent disk inconspicuous, sĕpals prominent.
