Decumbent to erect, succulent shrub, up to 400 mm tall, branches curving downwards, roots not tuberous, stems lignifi ed. Leaves persistent, opposite and 4-ranked, subcylindrical, narrowly ovate, with small, somewhat fl attened bladder-cells. Flowers 20-30 mm diam., salmon-pink, with cream inside, stamens and stigmas not concealed. Fruit 4-or 5-locular.
