Characteristics

Prostrate to scrambling shrublet, up to 0.15 m high, stems becoming woody at base, roots tuberous. Leaves almost cylindrical, narrowly ovate to linear, decussate becoming alternate towards inflorescence, covered with dull, glassy bladder cells. Flowers solitary, pale yellow to shades of pink. Flowering time Sept., Oct. Capsules pale golden-brown, 5-locular, valve wings inflexed over valves, covering membranes absent.
