Prostrate to decumbent or scrambling, succulent geophyte with tuberous roots, stems weakly lignified. Leaves opposite and 4-ranked below inflorescence, otherwise alternate, subcylindrical, narrowly ovate to linear, with prominent epidermal bladder-cells. Flowers 20-30 mm diam., lemon-or straw-yellow, pale salmon or apricot. Fruit 5-locular.
