Characteristics

Large, cushion-forming, succulent shrub, 100-150 mm tall, up to 1 m diam., internodes heart-shaped. Leaves obtusely trigonous, free from each other, persisting as a pointed tip when dry, with a conspicuous fringe of cilia basally. Flowers solitary, up to 15 mm diam. Fruit (4)5-locular, seed bags absent.
