Characteristics

Stems erect or semi-pendulous, 0.3–1.2 m long, sparsely branched, wiry, lower half usually leafless. Leaves 5–20 per stem, 80–150 × 20–30 mm, stiff, leathery, often yellowish green, apex unequally notched. Racemes erect, 150–250 mm long, slender, stiff, 10–20-flowered. Flowers usually non-resupinate, 27–30 × 12–15 mm, cream, darker with age, fragrant, lasting 5–7 days. Sepals and petals flat, spreading. Dorsal sepal c. 9 × 3 mm. Lateral sepals reflexed behind labellum, c. 7 × 3.5 mm. Petals c. 7 × 2.5 mm. Labellum erect, c. 9 × 2.5 mm; lateral lobes c. 2 × 4 mm, triangular, erect or incurved, joined to base of column; midlobe c. 3 mm long, pointed, curved.
