Characteristics

Annual herb, forming discrete cushions c. 1 cm high, c. 2 cm wide, or erect, to 3 cm high, pilose, including calyx. Stem foliose throughout. Leaves lanceolate, 4–16 mm long, 1–4.5 mm wide. Flowers in condensed terminal and axillary simple and compound umbellate clusters among the leaves; pedicels to 3 mm long. Calyx cylindrical, 2–2.5 mm long; lobes foliaceous, oblong-attenuate, 2.5–3 mm long. Corolla white with greenish yellow throat; tube c. 7 mm long; lobes c. 2.5 mm long. Stamen filaments partly adnate to tube, free part c. 2 mm long; anthers obtuse; dehiscence extrorse. Capsule ovoid, 2.5–3.5 mm long; fruiting style c. 3 mm long.
