Characteristics

Perennial herb, prostrate and ascending. Stem foliose throughout, pilose, rarely glabrous. Leaves elliptic, lanceolate or ovate, 3–9 mm long, 1.5–5.5 mm wide, pilose or hairs only on margins. Flowers solitary, terminal and in upper axils; pedicels to 65 mm long. Calyx campanulate, sparsely pilose throughout or hairs only on lobe margins and adaxial face; tube 1.5–2.5 mm long; lobes 2–3 mm long. Corolla white; tube 2–4 mm long; lobes 1.5–2.5 mm long. Stamens 2.2–2.5 mm long; anthers strongly apiculate; dehiscence extrorse. Capsule ellipsoidal, 4–6 mm long; fruiting style 1–1.8 mm long.
