Characteristics

Low, succulent shrub, up to 150 mm tall, later bending over. Leaves heterophyllous, first leaf-pair 15-20 x 6-10 mm, free parts tongue-shaped to triangular, second and subsequent leaf-pairs connate for 1/5, 15-35 mm long, ± 5 mm diam. Flowers solitary, magenta. Fruit without a closing body, valve rims high.
