Characteristics

Leaves 1.5–12 x 0.4–2.3 cm., narrowly oblanceolate to oblong-oblanceolate, rounded to subacute at the apex, tapering cuneate at the base, pubescent to glabrous; petioles up to c. 1 cm. long; stipules 2–3 mm. long and wide, triangular.

Corolla fleshy, fragrant, white or tube greenish inside, glabrous outside; tube slender 2–3 cm. long, pubescent inside; lobes spreading, up to 2.2 cm. x 2.5 mm., linear-oblong, sulcate inside.
Rhizomatous suffrutex 10–20 cm. tall forming mats up to c. 1 m. diam. drying blackish; shoots annual, glabrous or pubescent; older stems pale brown, ridged,± corky, glabrous.
Anthers 3–4 mm. long, inserted just below throat; style just exserted, the lobes linear, 4 mm. long.
Inflorescences 3–6-flowered c. 1 cm. diam., the calyx tubes confluent; peduncles (0)2–3 mm. long.
Calyx tube c. 2 mm. long, the limb truncate, under 1 mm. tall.
Fruits globose 1.5 cm. diam.
