Corolla white with white hairy throats or yellow; tube 2–3 cm long, densely hairy with spreading upwardly directed or downwardly directed hairs; lobes 6 × 3 mm, ovate-oblong, apiculate, hairy outside and on the median ridge inside.
Shrub to 2 m tall or woody climber to 9 m or more; branches densely, coarsely, almost velvety pale ferruginous hairy.
Calyx tube 3–4 mm long; lobes all triangular and 2–4 × 1.5 mm or sometimes one as a calycophyll c. 4.5 × 3 cm.
Style well included in short-styled flowers or lobes shortly exserted in long-styled flowers.
Corymbs mostly c. 6 cm in diameter, dense and many-flowered, all parts densely hairy.
Fruits yellow, 1.2–1.7 × 0.75–1.3 cm, pubescent.
Seeds pale, flattened and reticulate-pitted.
